Tired but happy, we're back from our annual visit to Grandma Val. Unfortunately, little Sue was sick for part of the visit, but she still managed to fit in three ski classes.
Valerie gave me ski lessons and lift tickets for this year's birthday present, which was a fabulous gift. The lesson was just the thing, and the day afterwards Valerie and I got in a good 6 runs on a spectacular sunny mild day.

Visit To Valerie and Skiing
These are pictures of Sue's first time on skis. Brendan, Sue and I recently visited Valerie in Bozeman. She took us up to the Bridger Mountain ski area and treated Sue to some skiing lessons. Sue loved it!
Aside from a slight propensity to turn only to the left, which she quickly overcame, Sue is ready for the big(ger) slopes next time.
Brendan and I were worried that Sue wouldn't enjoy it, but our worries were ill-founded.
Saturday morning fog lifted by mid-day, leaving absolutely glorious weather.
The teachers were fantastic. Kate, mother of a 3-year-old, Sue's first instructor, had a very deft touch and got Sue started off on the right ski.
